Susan St. Thomas M.A. is a Sonoma County fine artist who draws her inspirations from dreams, myths and the unseen realm of the natural world. She is devoted to creating images which touch the spirit, evoke a sense of peace and harmony and remind us of the multi-dimensional world in which we live. With a 35 year background in astrological practice, Susan translates the rhythms of the planets and cycles of life into images with intense watercolor media on paper and wood panels. Her unique paintings have been exhibited extensively in the U. S and Europe including shows in Beverly Hills, Amsterdam and San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral. Her work has been featured in several books and widely published as art cards, calendars and prints.
Susan has been an adjunct faculty member in the graduate arts program at John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley and currently teaches through the Santa Rosa JC and other northern California locations. She is known for her innovative teaching style and use of the mandala in healing arts programs.
Relocating from San Francisco to Occidental in 1998, Susan and her husband, Joel found an artist’s sanctuary in a 110 year old remodeled schoolhouse nestled in the giant redwoods. Here they have a studio, classroom, gallery and garden complete with a stone labyrinth open to the public by appointment year round.

Susan’s artwork is exhibited at the Sebastopol Gallery, 150 N Main Street, Sebastopol, CA. Open daily 11-6.
